Advantages of Industry 4.0

Efficiency – The Industry 4.0 bring in automation, which means fewer people. Therefore the decision making is faster, and the end product is of high quality and boosts efficiency.

Agility - When the product is aware of its specification, the manufacturing process is accelerated. Industry 4.0 builds that intelligence in the system and fosters agility.

Innovation - When the manufacturing unit can accommodate new product introduction and experimentation in design, it creates a space for change. Industry 4.0 production line enables more in-depth understanding of both product and process design.

Customer Experience - Industry 4.0 provides comprehensive information and responsiveness available to manufacturers, thus allowing them to serve their customers better.

Costs - Industry 4.0 requires an initial investment. Once the intelligence I built in the process and the product, the cost will scale down to negligible.

Revenues - Fixing all the above method, Industry 4.0 can only promise to put the manufacturer in the limelight of the best suppliers list. This opens ways to serve the larger market, offer higher margin exceptional products, and operations that provide services to accompany these products.

Traceability Solutions :

For traceability in manufacturing processes, each product or lot is assigned an identification number, and then information such as work details, inspection results, and dimensions are linked to this identification number in each process so that it can be utilized for assembly in a later process.

Benefits of Traceability

Root cause analysis - Having access to all the data on products’ paths enables manufacturers to dig deep, and find the root cause of problems. Issues are identified and solved quickly to minimize impact.

Continuous improvement - Seeing how parts and products move through lines facilitates continuous improvement. Indeed, improvement opportunities are lost when genealogical data is not accessible. Knowing where and when bottlenecks and delays occur makes real-time optimization possible.

Value stream mapping - Since traceability monitors how products move through the manufacturing process, it helps with value stream mapping. Equipped with detailed product genealogy records, manufacturers gain supply chain visibility, which provides a much more granular picture of their operations’ value stream.

Quality and engagement - Moreover, part traceability along the entire production line can also help find key points where quality check-ups should be added. It also increases accountability and engagement on the shop floor.
